Cato, Harris-Hyche Earn Women’s Soccer All-Conference Honors
BALDWIN CITY - After closing out the season this past weekend, Darcy Cato and Naomi Harris-Hyche of the Baker women's soccer team received All-Conference recognition as the league office announced the 2025 Heart Women's Soccer All-Conference Teams and Postseason Awards on Wednesday.
Harris-Hyche, a freshman from Olathe, Kan., was selected to the All-Heart Second Team after leading the Wildcats in goals and points, tallying seven goals and two assists in her debut season. She tied for 12th among the conference in goals and got off to a blazing start to Heart play, with all seven of her goals coming in the first seven matches against league opponents, including her first career hat trick at William Penn.
Cato, a senior forward from Kansas City, Mo., earned Third Team honors after finishing as the team leader in assists with six and added four goals for the highest point total (14) of her four-year career. She had five assists through the first seven matches of the season and capped her career with an incredible goal in the season finale against Missouri Valley on Saturday. Her six assists in the regular season ranked eighth in the conference.
Baker closed the 2025 campaign with a 3-10-4 record and a 2-8-3 mark in Heart action after a strong start that saw BU earn results in three of its first four league matches. The Wildcats showed marked improvement on the offensive side, scoring in 11 of their first 12 outings and posting multiple goals nine times throughout the year.
