Men's Wrestling Competes at Missouri Valley Invite

MARSHALL, Mo. - After traveling there a couple of weeks ago, Baker men's wrestling returned to Marshall, Mo., to compete in the Missouri Valley Invite on Friday and Saturday, a tournament that featured nearly 50 NAIA teams and 450 individual wrestlers.

Saoul Prado (125) and Nakos Benton (149) both earned four victories in Marshall as well, with Saoul Prado winning all four of his by decision, while Benton picked up a pair of pins before bowing out in the sixth round of the consolation semifinals.

Nat'aani Prado (133), Joshua Broyles (157), Eli Messick (184), and Kevin Lund (197) all won multiple matches. Lund and Broyles each had a pin, while Nat'aani Prado and Messick won both of their matches by decision.

Up next, Baker will be back in action next week, returning to the Collins Center on Thursday, Jan. 29, to host a wrestling doubleheader against Central Methodist with the women's team. The women's dual is slated to start at 6 p.m., with the men to follow.
