Rigatuso Earns NAIA All-American Honors
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - After helping lead the Wildcats to their first-ever Round of 16 appearance, Noah Rigatuso was named to the 2024-25 NAIA Men's Basketball All-America Second Team, announced by the national office on Monday.
Rigatuso becomes the program's fourth player to receive All-American honors, joining former teammate Jalen Patterson, who was a third-team selection in 2023, as well as Ben Steinlage (2012) and Brent Dorsey (1998), who both earned honorable-mention recognition.
This season, Rigatuso led the team in scoring (15.8 ppg), rebounds (199) and free throws (103-148) while playing in all but two of BU's 34 games this year. He scored 20 or more points in 10 different games this season with his season-high coming in the season opener at Ottawa where he poured in 28 points and totaled 15 rebounds.
Transferring to Baker in 2022 after spending his first two seasons at North Iowa Area CC, Rigatuso played in 95 games and amassed 1,447 points during his three-year career with back-to-back 500-point campaigns in his last two seasons.
The senior from Omaha, Neb. was one of four Wildcats to be named to the 2024-25 All-Heart First Team after BU went 22-2 in conference play and swept the Heart championships for the first time in program history. After clinching their first regular-season title since 1989, the Wildcats went on to win the Heart Conference Tournament with all three games being played in the Collins Center.
Rigatuso and the Wildcats secured their third straight postseason appearance and hosted the NAIA First & Second Round games with BU defeating No. 14 Texas Wesleyan and No. 6 Concordia to earn their first trip to the NAIA Round of 16 in Municipal Auditorium.
