Llorente Earns KCAC Offensive Player of the Week Award

BALDWIN CITY - Quarterback Tara Llorente of the Baker women's flag football team was named KCAC Offensive Player of the Week following her performance in the Wildcats' 2-0 start to conference play last week.

Llorente, who is in her first year at BU since transferring from Thomas University, racked up eight total touchdowns to help lead Baker to victories over William Woods (39-0) and Southwestern (34-12) in the first games of the KCAC season.

The sophomore from Miami, Fla. totaled six touchdowns against the Owls with four passing and two on the ground while rushing for nearly 100 yards in the game (96). She threw for two more touchdowns on Saturday at Southwestern in the first conference road game of the season for BU.

Llorente and the Wildcats head out for another road trip this weekend with a matchup up at Midland on Saturday, March 8 with kickoff at 1 p.m. in Fremont, Neb.
