Karlin Earns Heart Baseball Player of the Week Honors

BALDWIN CITY - Camden Karlin of the Baker baseball team was selected as this week's Heart Baseball Player of the Week, following his performance in the Wildcats' 5-0 outing last week.

In the final week of his decorated career, Karlin went 10-for-19 at the plate with three doubles, two homers and seven RBI, including a three-run homer in his last at-bat at home on Senior Day. He also earned his eighth win and third shutout of the season after allowing just four hits and striking out six in BU's 9-0 victory over Missouri Valley on Thursday.

It becomes the third time this season Karlin earned one of the Heart's weekly awards after being selected Pitcher of the Week (March 9) and Player of the Week (Feb. 23) earlier in the season. The senior from Lawrence, Kan., was an All-Heart First Team selection last year and was named a 2026 NAIA Preseason All-American prior to this season.

Karlin and the Wildcats closed out the season this past weekend with a four-game sweep of MVC. BU finished the year with a 29-23 overall record and 19-12 mark in conference play, securing the program's highest win total since 2023.
